Our Mentoring Program is designed to offer Adopted and Foster Care school-aged youth a sense of connectedness with a caring adult to provide academic, social-emotional support, and to strengthen resilience in youth. It is a whole-child model designed to work closely with schools to implement strategies and services that integrate critical school, community, and family resources to promote positive behavioral and social outcomes of students.
Our youth participate in active and engaged literary instruction sessions that focuses primarily on reading strategies such as phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.
EzServed's children's books series is centered around the life and journey of Mr. Williams growing up in foster care and being adopted. The goal of the book series is to share these experiences to AFC youth throughout Northeast Ohio to empower them. Helping encourage and equip AFC youth to embrace their journey toward continued success.
